Let the Beer Party Commence! - Oktoberfest in Germany

Oktoberfest is the world’s biggest beer festival and German folk festival where musical bands and magnificent parades open the party. Celebrating its 181th commencement in 2014, the beer festival attracts more than six million people annually to Munich, Bavaria. The festival is also known as one of the world’s top three funfairs. During the celebration, there is excessive food, music, and, of course, beer specially brewed for the Wiesn, as the locals say.

People cuddled up in about thirty small and big tents; whether you are dancing or laughing there is always a giant beer mug in hands. The mug, Maßkrug, is specially designed for the event. This 1L volume beer stein may seem intimidating at first, but once the party begins you can’t ask for the better size.

Funded by Munich’s best beer company Bräu since the 19th century, Oktoberfest puts up the tents three months prior to the festival to welcome its beer lovers. Among three hundred tents that are set up, the biggest one can hold over 10,000 people creating the perfect place for the festival.
